About this wiki
Published · By IndexChex
backlinkindexer.org is a reference wiki about backlink indexers and link indexing, published by IndexChex. It explains how the category works using Google's documentation as the primary source, labels the publisher's own measurements as such, dates competitor facts, and accepts corrections at support@indexchex.com.
What this site covers
This wiki explains backlink indexers: what they are, how they get pages crawled, what they can and cannot achieve, and how to check the results. The core entries are the definition of a backlink indexer and how indexers work. Supporting entries cover methods, problems, timing, safety and pricing. A full list is on the home page.
Ownership
backlinkindexer.org is published by IndexChex, a backlink indexer and bulk Google index checker. IndexChex therefore has a commercial interest in this topic. The site discloses this on every page, and the IndexChex entry describes the product in the same neutral terms used for the rest of the category. Entries mention IndexChex only where it is a relevant example.
This wiki is one of several reference sites published by IndexChex; the full list is on the network page.
Editorial policy
- Google's behaviour is described from Google Search Central and Search Console Help pages. Each entry cites the pages it relies on, and those pages were opened and read when the entry was written.
- Inference is labelled. Where Google has not documented something, such as how it treats links on unindexed pages, entries say so and present practitioner consensus as consensus.
- Measured claims about IndexChex come only from its weekly measurement on recurring URL sets, are stated as averages with an as-of date, and are never presented as guarantees.
- Competitor facts are given only with a source and the date they were checked.
- No rankings. This site does not rate tools or declare winners.
Corrections
Errors, outdated facts and missing sources can be reported to support@indexchex.com. Corrections are applied to the entry and its date updated.
How to cite
Each entry ends with a citation block giving the title, site, URL and date. Please cite the specific entry rather than the home page, and include the date, since search engine behaviour changes over time.
